It all started in a plant room on a construction site—probably not the setting for most great partnerships, but for Gary and Mark, it was the perfect backdrop. Surrounded by pipes, boilers, and the faint hum of machinery, they struck up a conversation about heat loss, EPCs, and SAP calculations. Some would call it small talk; we call it the spark that ignited DAMS Renewables.

Gary brings over 30 years of hands-on experience as a heating engineer. If it involves pipes, pumps, or anything remotely boiler-related, Gary’s probably fixed it, installed it, or optimized it. Mark, on the other hand, has spent 20 years navigating the world of construction management, making sure projects run smoothly, efficiently, and without anyone misplacing the tea bags.

Together, they built a team that’s as passionate about renewable energy as they are. We’ve got four skilled heating engineers who know their stuff inside out and two enthusiastic apprentices learning the ropes (and occasionally fetching the biscuits). Based in the Northeast of England, we cover the region with a simple mission: to make renewable energy solutions straightforward, efficient, and, dare we say it, a bit more fun.
